WOGI EuroTaste Ride

WOGI EuroTaste Ride

Embark on the WOGI EuroTaste Ride: an epic 8-month, 18,000 km cycling odyssey across 28 European countries, launching March 1, 2027. Father-son duo Gabor Andras Varga and Marcell Varga pedal through vineyards, highlands, and markets, hosting 38 immersive Gastro Roadshows celebrating national dishes like Francesinha in Porto and Haggis in Glasgow. Sourced from local farms, these live chef demos spotlight short supply chains, eco-farming, and sustainable tourism. Powered by the WOGI app - AI recipes, 3D maps, blockchain traceability - this ride bridges gastronomy and mobility, empowering producers and boosting rural economies. Paving the way for CYCLEFOOD NEXUS EU project. Join the green revolution!

WOGI Farm-to-Table

Better Us, together with Szigetköz Szatyor Foundation, is developing a cross-border digital platform and community events to strengthen short food supply chains between Hungary and Slovakia. The project connects local small-scale producers with conscious consumers through an innovative mobile app and a series of thematic farmers’ markets, promoting sustainable, regional food systems, reducing food miles, and fostering cooperation across the border. Co-funded by the European Union (Interreg HUSK-2501). Launch planned for 2026.

RURALFOOD NEXUS

RURALFOOD

We are currently working on RURALFOOD NEXUS, a Horizon Europe Cluster 6 project concept aimed at strengthening the sustainable competitiveness of rural areas across Europe. The initiative addresses key structural challenges affecting rural territories, including limited market access for small-scale producers, fragmented local value chains, demographic decline, and unequal access to innovation and digital solutions. RURALFOOD NEXUS is built on a multi-actor approach, bringing together research institutions, technology providers, public authorities and community-based organisations to co-develop practical and scalable solutions. The project places particular emphasis on short food supply chains (SFSCs), rural entrepreneurship and local innovation ecosystems. At its core, we explore how digital tools, community-driven innovation and collaborative governance models can jointly contribute to more resilient, inclusive and environmentally sustainable rural economies. Rather than focusing solely on technology, the project integrates economic, social and environmental dimensions of competitiveness, ensuring that innovation is grounded in real local needs.
A key component of our approach is supporting rural entrepreneurs and SMEs, especially young innovators, through co-creation processes, experimentation and capacity building. In parallel, the project aims to generate policy-relevant insights and transferable models that can support rural development strategies across Europe.
RURALFOOD NEXUS is currently under development as a collaborative European initiative, and we are actively exploring partnerships with organisations working in agrifood innovation, rural development, entrepreneurship and sustainability.

WOGI Health Ride Labs

I am pleased to share that we have submitted the WOGI Health Ride Labs project proposal under the Erasmus+ Sport Cooperation Partnership programme.
The project aims to address one of Europe’s growing societal challenges: the combination of sedentary lifestyles, fragmented health initiatives, and limited integration between sport, nutrition and sustainability policies.
The initiative introduces a new model of Urban Health Ride Labs, combining accessible cycling activities with nutrition education, local food ecosystems and sustainability practices. Through a Living Lab methodology, the project will pilot 24 community-based events across several European cities, engaging citizens, municipalities, researchers and local producers.

Key elements of the project include:

  • promoting grassroots sport participation through inclusive cycling activities

  • strengthening health literacy and sustainable dietary awareness

  • integrating local food systems into community sport initiatives

  • developing a replicable ESG framework for grassroots sport events

  • creating an open-access methodology toolkit for European municipalities

The project is built on a Quadruple Helix cooperation model, bringing together civil society organisations, academic institutions, municipalities and industry partners to develop scalable solutions for healthier and more sustainable communities.
If funded, the project will contribute to the objectives of the EU Green Deal, Farm-to-Fork Strategy and Erasmus+ Sport priorities, while supporting behavioural change and stronger cross-sector cooperation at the local level.
Many thanks to our partners for their collaboration during the preparation of this proposal. Now we look forward to the evaluation results.
